The non-contact feature is a lifesaver with my wiggly toddler—no more wrestling to get a reading. It registers in about a second and the laser helps me aim it right at her forehead even when she's squirming. So much less stressful than the old ear thermometer we used to fight over.

The laser aimpoint makes it easy to get a precise reading without touching anything, even on a squirming toddler. It's fast and accurate enough for checking bath water or soup temperature, though the display could be a bit brighter for dark rooms.
